To create an account, you need to complete the registration form. You can find this form on the home page in the circled area.

When clicking on the link, you will be send to a login page. iCANDID supports single -sign-on which allows you to register with your university account (for those universities part of the eduGAIN federation). Alternative login options will be provided in the future.
The login procedure will automatically capture relevant information for the completion of your registration such as your name and email. Fields to complete:
- Position (researcher or student)
- Promoter (only for students)
- Faculty (only applicable for KU Leuven staff)
- Research group
- Personnel or student number (when prefilled, do not change)
- Motivation for the request (please state why you want access to iCANDID for your research. If possible, indicate to what collections/datasets you want access)
- Which functionalities do you wish to access? (select from drop-down list)
- UI (access to the user interface via web browser)
- UI + export (access to the user interface via web browser + data export functionalities)
- API (machine actionable access to the iCANDID API)
- UI + export + API (access to all of the above)
When clicking "Next" you will be asked to agree to the terms of use. Please read these carefully before continuing. You can only continue to the submission by agreeing. On the same page you can opt-out to receive news updates from iCANDID research infrastructure. Don't forget to click on the "Send the request" button.
When your request for an account is processed, you will be contacted. You will hear from us within 10 working days (can be longer during
holiday periods). In case you receive no response, you can contact the
